Sponsorship for the environmental education program '' Flora, plants exploration program'' by the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education (CY.C.E.R.E.)

Vassiliko Cement Works supports environmental education programs by sponsoring the program ''Flora and plants exploration'' put forward by the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education (CY.C.E.R.E.) The program aims at developing nature exploration and on-site examination skills and at the conceptual understanding and environmental awareness of students regarding the flora in Cyprus, through a holistic approach and experiential learning.

 

The students participating in the program study and discover the variety of plant species observed in various ecosystems by observing, recording and collecting samples and other information related to plants habitats.

 

Vassiliko Cement Works aims at mitigating the environmental impact through its corporate activities and contributes to environmental protection and to young generation awareness raising towards a more environmentally responsible attitude.
