Vassiliko Cement Works celebrates the World Blood Donor Day

To celebrate World Blood Volunteers Donor Day 2020, Vassiliko Cement Works in cooperation with the Blood Bank of the General Hospital of Limassol, carried out a ‘voluntary blood donation day’ for the personnel, on Wednesday 10/6/2020 at its premises.

 

June 14^th is established by the World Health Organization as the World Blood Donor Day and is celebrated worldwide to honour the volunteers blood donors for their significant contribution.

 

This year, the celebration had to adapt to the restrictive measures being applied across the world due to the pandemic outbreak; however, the company’s employees honoured their fellow citizens offering them the most precious gift of life.

 

The company's blood donation is a token of social sensitivity and humanism and results in an unconditional offer of life to our fellow citizens.

 

The annual blood donation events by Vassiliko Cement Works are embedded in the company's social contribution framework and stem from the company's values, giving out love, support and help to people truly in need.
