Lecture ‘The excessive use of Social Media and ways of dealing with the problem’ addressed to Vassiliko Cement Works personnel

On the occasion of the Safer Internet Day, which is celebrated on February 5, Vassiliko Cement Works organized a lecture on February 11, addressed to the entire personnel on the subject ‘The excessive use of Social Media and ways of dealing with the problem’.

The lecture was delivered by the clinical psychologist of the International Humanitarian and Independent Institution “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center, Mrs Zoi Kinikli, who shared with the personnel useful information and ways of coping with the excessive use of electronic apparatuses for a proper and reasonable use of the Internet primarily by children.

The lecture’s aim was to awaken parents on the severity of this worldwide concern regarding the younger generations and to make them aware of possible ways to mitigate the Internet use.

Addiction to Social Media is a social phenomenon growing to alarming dimensions. The Internet should be used in moderation, either by adolescents or adults in order to avoid crossing the boundaries of abuse and addiction.
