Sponsorship for the environmental education program '' Flora, plant exploration'' by CY.C.E.R.E (Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education)

Vassiliko Cement is a constant supporter of the environmental education programs organized by the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education (CY.C.E.R.E).

 

For a 3^rd consecutive year, we support the environmental program entitled ''Flora and plants exploration'' for the school year 2020-2021. The program aims at developing skills and at enabling to explore the natural treasures of Cyprus, through on-site examination in Cape peninsula; the program also aims at the conceptual understanding and at the environmental awareness of students regarding the flora in Cyprus.

 

The students participating in the program get the opportunity to study and discover the variety of plant species observed in various ecosystems and then to observe and collect samples and other information related to various plants species.

 

Vassiliko Cement, with its initiatives contributes significantly to reducing the country’s environmental footprint, offering holistic ways of cooperation with the young generation, regarding awareness raising and adoption of a more responsible attitude towards the environment.
