Support of Vassiliko Cement Works to the Pancyprian Association of Rare Genetic Diseases ‘Unique Smiles’ for the event “Chain of Smiley People”

Vassiliko Cement Works supported the event “Chain of Smiley People” of the Pancyprian Association of Rare Genetic Diseases ‘Unique Smiles’ that took place on Limassol seafront, on Saturday, March 4, 2019. The event took place for the celebration of the Rare Disease Day (February 28) for 4^th consecutive year.

 

Young and older people participated in the event, including the Company's volunteer employees, forming the biggest Chain of Smiley People, as an indication of support to our fellow citizens suffering from rare diseases. The event also included other activities, such as treasure hunting, pottery, painting, handicraft, gardening, bowling, fishing and tic-tac-toe, food, drink and many other surprises for participants.

 

In the context of Corporate Social Responsibility, Vassiliko Cement Works has included in its annual budget the economic support of vulnerable groups and people with rare diseases, in order to improve the quality of their life.
