Supporting the campaign of the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC) «Adopt a family at Christmas»

The campaign of the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC) «Adopt a family at Christmas» has been successfully completed for one more year.

Vassiliko Cement Works PLC and its employees, supported, for the 7th consecutive year, vulnerable families by offering them consumable items, food vouchers and more. The campaign was also reinforced by promoting the campaign through the Company's webpage and social media.

The power of volunteerism has been brought to the surface during these difficult times we and our society is going through.

«Volunteerism has again widely opened its hands, embraced and helped people. This is the meaningful result of this year’s campaign of the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council «Adopt a family at Christmas», through which 1300 vulnerable families have been supported. Love and solidarity prevailed. The citizens managed to contribute and spread the message that there are still people who care and help», president of PVCC, Mr. Elias Demetriou states.

Vassiliko Cement Works PLC, having countersigned a cooperation memorandum with the PVCC in 2019, supports and encourages volunteerism. In an organization, the empathy, the selfless contribution, and the love towards fellowmen are values directly related to the improvement of employees’ performance.
