APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL MANAGER
Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company Ltd announces that the Board of Directors at its meeting held on 30th May 2019, resolved to appoint Mr. George Savva, Deputy General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, as General Manager of the Company, with effect as from 01 August 2019.
It is also announced that following the appointment of Mr. George Savva at the position of the General Manager of the Company, the Executive Chairman of the Company Mr. Antonios Antoniou will retain his position as Chief Executive Officer for a transitional period of five months until 31 December 2019. After the end of the transition period, he will retain the position of the Executive Chairman of the Company.

George Savva – General Manager
Mr. George Savva was born in Famagusta in 1970. He graduated from London South Bank University with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. He continued his studies to obtain the professional qualification of the Chartered Certified Accountant and he became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Furthermore he attended the LEAP Executive Programme of INSEAD Business School.
Mr. George Savva has worked for four years at the Audit Firm Deloitte in auditing and business advisory. He then worked as an internal auditor for a period of two years.
As from January 2001, he holds the position of the Chief Financial Officer of Vassiliko Cement Works and as from 1 August 2017 he also holds the position of the Deputy General Manager of the Company.
